The world's land conference comes to Mongolia

COP17 is the 17th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD), hosted in Ulaanbaatar in August 2026. Delegates from 197 parties gather to negotiate global action on land restoration, drought resilience and desertification.

It's the first UNCCD COP hosted in Mongolia — thousands of delegates flying in means a real, measurable footprint. Offsetting it keeps that impact working for the very land the conference is about.
